xxSOLDxx18th CENTURY DATED BANDED POWDER HORN

Nice untouched "green" powder horn with a raise 1 3/8" wide cream colored band with "1786 July the 21" scrimshawed on it along with an incised  beauty line running around the band on either edge.  The horn measures 16 1/2" in length through the double curve and its untouched pine butt is 3" in diameter at its widest.  The spout has a faceted conical shaped collar which has been repaired in-period with a conformingly shaped/molded pewter band.  The pewter repair is neatly done.

Condition:  Very Good, with an in-period pewter repair as noted above.
